Jerry received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. His undergraduate studies included an emphasis in advanced thermodynamics, gas turbine theory and design, internal combustion engines and nuclear power. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Jerry was employed by General Motors with the Pontiac Motors Division in Product Engineering as a member of the Intake, Exhaust, Emission and Fuel Design Staff. He graduated Cum Laude from Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University where he was named to the Dean's List and served on the Law Review as Note and Comment Editor and later Managing Editor of Comments. Jerry is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has also represented clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, as well as various district courts throughout the country. Jerry's practice involves all phases of patent, trademark and copyright law. He has extensive experience prosecuting patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and licensing intellectual property rights on behalf of his clients. In addition, Jerry has broad based experience litigating such matters before the federal courts at both the district and appellate levels. He has also been retained and testified as an expert on United States Patent Office procedures and issues involving the infringement and validity of patents.
